The following decision is sought: |

That the progress on the implementation of the nursing care schemes and the cost and risk management strategies be approved. |

To ensure delivery of the nursing care accommodation project. |

This decision supports Aims 1,2,4 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy as detailed below: Aim 1 - maximising life opportunities - by providing support facilities for elderly people Aim 2 - stewardship of the environment - the project provides a design response to respect/enhance exiting mature environments, considering whole life costs and working with partners to eliminate waste. Aim 4 - building strong and safe communities - working in partnership with the Strategic Health Authority and local Primary Care Trusts to meet the needs of elderly care. Aim 5 - improving services - delivering the scheme through a partnering arrangement with major contractors and suppliers, driving continuous improvement and the personal development of the individual staff. |
