1.1 |
The following decisions are sought: |

|
(i) Authority be given to conclude negotiations for the sale of approximately 0.96 ha (2.37 ac) of surplus land at Langstone Road, Havant, as detailed in the report, subject to the acquisition of replacement land in the Southmere Local Gap |
|
|
|
(ii) That the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory (Head of Estates Practice) be authorised to settle the detailed terms of the transaction. |

This will provide a capital receipt from the disposal of potentially surplus land, together with the opportunity to acquire replacement open space nearby for the benefit of the local community. |

This decision supports Aim: |

Aim 1 - maximising life opportunities - The provision of a day nursery will provide opportunities to facilities where parents wish to return to work. Aim 2 - stewardship of the environment - The quality of the scheme design will be a factor in its acceptability for this location.
