AT A MEETING of an APPOINTMENT PANEL OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL held at The Castle, Winchester on 27 April 2004.

PRESENT:

1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

RESOLVED:

That Councillor M. J. Woodhall be appointed Chairman of the meeting.

2. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

That by virtue of Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting.

3. APPOINTMENT OF HEAD OF MUSEUMS AND ARCHIVES

Pursuant to Standing Order 41, the Panel considered applications for the post of

Head of Museums and Archives. Ms. Caroline Dudley, Mr. Edmund Southworth and Mr. Ian Lawley were interviewed.


RESOLVED:

That, subject to there being no objection from the Cabinet, Caroline Dudley, BA, FSA, OBE be appointed Head of Museums and Archives.
