1.1 The following decision is sought:

1. That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate a single tender for the continued provision of a Welcome Home Service for Older People in Havant/Petersfield and Fareham/Gosport.

2. Reason

This decision supports Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy `Maximising Life Opportunities'. The focus on quality and cost contributes to Aim 5 `Improving Services' and the partnership approach with local care providers assists with Aim 3 `Achieving Economic Prosperity'.
