1 Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That the Recreation and Heritage Workforce Plan for 2004/05 be approved.
2 Reasons
2.1 The Workforce Plan for 2004/05:
· considers the workforce implications of the common strategic direction set for all Recreation and Heritage services
· reviews activities in the previous year
· identifies significant developments for the current year, and
· presents a statistical profile of the Department's workforce.
2.2 The plan complements other Departmental planning and management processes and is intended to link strategic planning, operational management of services and the development of an appropriately skilled workforce. It therefore supports Aims 5 and 6 of the Corporate Strategy (Improving Services and Developing Councillors and Staff).
