LOCAL TRANSPORT PARTNERSHIPS

Councillor M. J. Roberts to move:-

"The County Council looks to consider how localised transport partnerships with joined-up working, can actually seek to develop, and enhance, transport provision in a particular area.

It will seek to do this through working within the structure of localised strategic partnerships developed by the Districts and Boroughs, the Hampshire Strategic Partnership, new potential policy developments in community railways from the Strategic Rail Authority, as well as the main objectives of its transport strategy as outlined and perused through the transport plan.

The matter to be evaluated and looked at as to how this could be developed following best practice elsewhere and a report presented on the next steps forward.

Consideration be given to two pilot schemes with regard to the Alton line and the Lymington Branch line."
