PROBLEM RESOLUTION IN A MULTI-AGENCY ENVIRONMENT (PRIME) UPDATE
1. PRIME continues to become a pervasive means of tackling problems in Basic Command Units (BCUs). Each BCU has initiated a PRIME Project to help improve the amenity, in particular to combat anti-social behaviour. At least one non-policing partner must be engaged in the problem solving project. More information about PRIME can be seen on the Constabulary's website, www.hampshire.police.uk.
2. The Authority considered an updated report detailing the status of a number of PRIME Projects. Multi-agency training commenced in December, 2003 and so far eight Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships have benefited from the two day programme. The training brings relevant agencies together creating additional networking opportunities. A dedicated PRIME computer system continues to be developed and is expected to be available by June 2004.
3. The Authority will continue to receive regular progress reports.
