Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That approval be given to:

1. Extending the analysis of procurement data to include construction payments.

2. The Corporate Procurement Strategy action plan.

3. The performance management framework for procurement.

4. Supporting external collaboration in procurement by developing links with the South East Region Centre of Procurement Excellence, the Central Buying Consortium and with district councils within Hampshire.

Reason(s)

2.1

To enable the national and corporate requirements associated with the strategic management of procurement to be met.

2.2

The decision supports Aims 2, 3, 5 and 6 of the Corporate Strategy.

Aim 2 - stewardship of the environment.

Aim 3 - achieving economic prosperity - both the management of the resources of the Council and impact on the local economy.

Aim 5 - improving services - by promoting a strategic approach to procurement within the County Council.

Aim 6 - developing councillors and staff - in particular by developing procurement skills for staff.
