1. Summary

    1.1 The Chairman of SACRE, Stuart Juniper, attended the annual general meeting of NASACRE on 20 April 2004.

    1.2 Discussion took place on the following issues:-

      · Collective worship

      · Citizenship and social cohesion. SACRE's future role

      · Retention of RE in primary teachers' training

      · Future of SACRE if national framework becomes mandatory

      · Teacher retention and recruitment

That SACRE note the report.
