1. Summary

1.1 Hampshire LEA, in liaison with headteachers of schools, is using advanced skills teachers to compliment and support the work of subject inspectors.

1.2 In religious education Hampshire has two advanced skills teachers in RE in secondary schools.

1.3 The County Inspector for RE is in the process of identifying ways in which they can best complement his support for the subject in schools and the dissemination of good practice.

Recommendation

That SACRE notes the report.
