5. NEW AGREED SYLLABUS FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

To consider a report of the County Education Officer on the proposed adoption of the new agreed syllabus "Living Difference" which has been the subject of detailed review by SACRE.

6. APPLEMORE TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE - PROPOSED CHANGE IN STATUS (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer on the proposal by the Governing Body of Applemore Technology College and Winchester Diocesan Board of Education to change the college's status from foundation to voluntary aided (Church of England) with effect from September 2005.

7. ADULT LEARNING THREE YEAR DEVELOPMENT PLAN : AUGUST 2003 - JULY 2006 (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer on the proposed Adult Learning Development Plan prior to its formal adoption by County Council on 22 July.

8. THE CHILDREN BILL (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Chief Executive on the development of arrangements to fulfil the County Council's corporate responsibilities under the Children Bill.

9. HAMPSHIRE'S LOCAL PUBLIC SERVICE AGREEMENT - MONITORING THE EDUCATION TARGETS AND PROGRESS TOWARDS A SECOND AGREEMENT (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer on progress with the County Council's Local Public Service Agreement and on future developments to enhance further the cooperation between local and central government.

10. COLLABORATIVE WORKING ARRANGEMENTS - A POLICY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIALIST SCHOOLS AND LEADING EDGE NETWORKS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer setting out a proposed amendment to the County Council's policy on specialist schools and giving details of further schools which have been so designated.

11. BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT - UPDATE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer on the work being undertaken to improve provision for supporting schools and individuals on behaviour issues.

16. MONITORING COMPLAINTS AND COMPLIMENTS 2003/2004

To consider a report of the County Education Officer on complaints and compliments made by parents, members of the public or schools about services delivered by the Education Department during the financial year 2003/04.

To consider a report by the Chief Executive on two urgent decisions taken since the Committee's last meeting:

(i) South Central Connexions Partnership Limited


(ii) Review of Primary School Provision in the East New Forest Area - Blackfield Infant and Junior Schools

18. QUESTIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE MEMBER FOR EDUCATION

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.

Appointed and co-opted members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
