Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the project appraisal at Lakeside School at an estimated cost of up to £2,065,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide haul road, refurbishment of boarding accommodation, demolition of surplus accommodation, construction of specialist teaching block and refurbishment of existing teaching accommodation.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing refurbished boarding house and school facilities which will benefit the school and its users.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
