1. Summary
1.1. The remaining balance of the budget available for grants to voluntary organisations in 2004/05 is £252,800 after allocating for the grants approved at the last decision day, commitments made in previous years and sums earmarked for specific purposes.
1.2. The following decisions are sought:
(i) That the budget position be noted.
(ii) That approval be given to grants to voluntary organisations as listed below:-

(iii) That no further grants be made to Damerham Sports Field Management Committee, Abbotts Ann Sports Field Management Committee and Bentley Recreation Ground Charity towards their current recreational projects.
(iv) That no grants be made in respect of schedule items 7 and 8 above pending a review of financial assistance being provided to churches from this budget.
2. Reason(s):
To promote economic, social or environmental well-being within the community. These grants would support Aims 1 (maximising life opportunities) and 4 (building strong and safe communities) of the Corporate Strategy.
