1. Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

    1. That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate (a) single tenders and (b) invite tenders for residential services for people with a Learning Disability.

2. Reason

    This decision supports Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy `Maximising Life Opportunities'. The partnership approach with care providers assists with Aim 3 `Achieving Economic Prosperity' and the focus on quality and cost contributes to Aim 5 `Improving Services'.
