1. Summary
This report seeks approval to the appointment of Members to the Asset Management Working Group.
2. Asset Management Working Group
The Group was established by the Finance and General Purposes Committee on 30 October 2002 to consider in more detail than is normally possible at regular meetings of the Committee various aspects of the Authority's Asset Management Strategy.
The Group is a non executive body with no decision making powers and makes recommendations to the Committee for consideration and adoption as appropriate. To date the Group has met on 6 occasions.
Prior to the recent unitary authority elections, membership of the group was as follows:
Councillors P.R.C. Hutcheson, R.H. Price, S. Letts (formerly a Southampton Member), and J. Stocks. Councillor P.R.C. Hutcheson (as Vice-Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee) chaired the Group.
The Committee is asked to appoint Members to this Group.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Committee confirms the appointment of Members to the Asset Management Working Group.
