1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That the attached Project Appraisal to install public transport information systems as part of the Fareham-Gosport Bus Quality Partnership, at an estimated cost of £300,000, be approved as follows:
(i) Bus Departure Information System at Gosport Bus Station (£105,000); and
(ii) Real-Time Passenger Information for bus services on the A32 Fareham-Gosport peninsula (£195,000).
2. Reason
2.1 This decision supports the following Aims of the Corporate Strategy:
(i) Aim 2 (Stewardship of the Environment) by improving travel choice; and
(ii) Aim 5 (Improving Services) by providing improved information and waiting facilities which are essential in the promotion of public transport services.
