Pinewood Infant School - proposed closure, and Southwood Infant School - SCLN provision

The representation period for the public notices published on 2 July 2004 ended on 13 August 2004. I am therefore enclosing the Local Education Authority's comments on the representation letters received. Given the similarity of issues raised in the letters (many in keeping with those highlighted in the letter distributed to local residents - appendix 1 refers) I have commented on the issues under separate headings for ease of reference.

Please also find enclosed the LEA's statements of case containing the prescribed information regarding the proposals to discontinue Pinewood Infant School, and to establish provision for children with speech, language and communication needs at Southwood Infant School.
