6 THE TRANSFORMATION AGENDA AND THE BACKGROUND TO THE CURRENT ANNUAL LIBRARY PROCESS

To consider arrangements for the Committee to analyse the Tim Coates report `Who's in charge?' and consider a response on behalf of the County Council. It is suggested that a panel of Members (3:1:1) be established to undertake detailed investigations by way of scrutinising the issue and reporting back to the Policy and Review Committee.

7 ANTONY GORMLEY EXHIBITION

To receive a presentation of the research undertaken of the visitors to the Antony Gormley exhibition held in the Great Hall, Winchester between 6 February to 23 March 2004.

8 HEALTHY LIFESTYLES - HEALTHY HAMPSHIRE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Director of Recreation and Heritage on the proposed Healthy Hampshire Project for 2005-2007 to encourage the residents of Hampshire to adopt an active healthy lifestyle.

9 PUBLIC LIBRARY STANDARDS REPORT 2004 (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Recreation and Heritage which outlines how the County Council's Library and Information Service has been performing in comparison with the national library standards introduced by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport in 2001.

10 LIBRARY OPENING HOURS: FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS (Report herewith)

    To consider the report of the Director of Recreation and Heritage on a development plan to extend Hampshire's library opening hours beginning with opening on Easter Saturday in 2006 and an examination of Bank Holidays and Sundays.

11 RECREATION AND HERITAGE ANNUAL REPORT 2003/04 (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Recreation and Heritage on the Recreation and Heritage Annual Report 2003/04 which reviews the activities and key achievements of the Department during the year 2003/04.

12 BUDGET MONITORING (Report to follow)

To consider the report of the County Treasurer on the financial position as regards the Recreation and Heritage Budget since July.
