HAMPSHIRE VILLAGES INITIATIVE - FUTURE PROGRAMME

In April 2004, the County Council received an information report outlining a decision to fund a two-year Hampshire Villages Initiative Programme. The Programme links local aspirations expressed in Village Design Statements and other County and Government initiatives and offers an opportunity to implement improvement priorities that might be identified in the emerging Community Strategies.

In order to identify partnership projects for the future programme, a wide ranging consultation exercise was undertaken resulting in a provisional two-year programme totalling £160,000 being approved at a decision meeting held on 13 July 2004 as follows:-
