PART II

ANNUAL PROGRAMME PARTNERSHIP FUNDING - THE ANVIL, BASINGSTOKE

1. The County Council runs a scheme "Programme Partnership Funding" to support those organisations which present annual arts programmes but are not suitable for annual revenue support where greater involvement with the company management is expected. The Anvil at Basingstoke presents a programme of music throughout the year covering big band, pop, world and amateur music as well as classical music. The wide range of music shows is not available anywhere else in the County though some might be promoted at the Guildhalls in Southampton or Portsmouth.

2. Organisations which present a programme of arts activities over the year and would therefore be eligible for funding for different aspects of their professional programme are invited to make an application for a Programme Partnership Funding award; applications are invited on an annual basis in the New Year to avoid the necessity of requesting support for different events through the year.

3. The Executive Member has approved a grant of £25,000 for the Anvil from the Programme Partnership Funding scheme with the money being found from within the Recreation and Heritage Department's policy fund.
