5. NEW RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOLS AND NEW OFSTED INSPECTIONS FOR SCHOOLS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer about Hampshire's involvement in a national trial exploring new relationships with schools and new style Ofsted inspections.

6. OUTCOMES OF THE LIFELONG LEARNING BEST VALUE REVIEW

To consider the report of the Chief Executive and County Education Officer on the outcome report of the Best Value Review of Lifelong Learning.

7. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND SKILLS - FIVE YEAR STRATEGY FOR CHILDREN AND LEARNERS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer on this Department of Education and Skills document and on an analysis of the proposals in relation to County Council policies.

8. BUDGET MONITORING 2004/05 (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Treasurer and County Education Officer on budget monitoring and an early identification of cost pressures and to give advice to the Executive Member for Education.
