To consider the report of the Director of Environment providing a summary of a number of important policy statements which have been announced by the Secretary of State for Transport.

6. UPDATE ON HAMPSHIRE STRATEGIES (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Environment summarising developments since the spring meeting of the Panel, including the Annual Progress Report 2004, Casualty Reduction and Speed Cameras, Travel Plans and the MIRACLES project in Winchester.

7. LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN 2006 TO 2011 UPDATE AND PROCEDURAL DECISIONS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Environment discussing the draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) guidance received from the Department for Transport (DfT) and the procedural timetable issues that need to be addressed to produce a good LTP by the deadline of 29 July 2005.

8. KEY LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN POLICY DECISIONS FOR HAMPSHIRE (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Environment concerning key policy decisions for Hampshire County Council in its new Local Transport Plan (LTP) and its approach to tackling congestion, balancing funding and priorities and the desirability of introducing themed approaches in specific areas.

9. KEY LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN POLICY DECISIONS FOR TRANSPORT STRATEGY PANELS AND AREA SPECIFIC TOPICS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Environment concerning key issues and decisions for the Central Hampshire Transport Strategy are in the context of the new Local Transport Plan (LTP). The report also provides an update on specific topics and suggests a possible themed approach to allocating resources for the Panels consideration.

10. CAPITAL PROGRAMME 2005/06 (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Director of Environment identifying the need to prioritise schemes within the indicative Transport Capital Programme for 2005/06.

11. DATE, TIME AND VENUE FOR THE NEXT MEETING OF THE PANEL

It is proposed to hold meetings of the Central Hampshire Transport Strategy Panel on the following dates:-

Tuesday 1 March 2005;

Tuesday 14 June 2005;

Tuesday 25 October 2005.

All three meetings will commence at 2pm

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this panel or by virtue of Standing Orders 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
