SOUTH HAMPSHIRE RAPID TRANSIT PROCUREMENT JOINT PANEL
A meeting of the South Hampshire Rapid Transit Procurement Joint Panel will take place on Monday, 8 November 2004 at 3.00 p.m. in the Wellington Room, Elizabeth II Court, The Castle, Winchester.
Car parking will be available on the Top Deck Car Park, Ashburton Court and you should show these papers to the car park attendant on arrival; a map is attached for your information. Please report to the Chief Executive's Reception Office (Room 100), just across the catwalk from the Top Deck Car Park into Elizabeth II Court, and you will be directed to the meeting room.

6. SOUTH HAMPSHIRE RAPID TRANSIT 1 - PROGRESS REPORT

To consider the confidential report of the Director of Environment and the City Engineer, Portsmouth City Council advising the Panel of the events that have taken place since
22 July 2004 when the Secretary of State for Transport announced that he was not able to
approve the Promoters revised funding submission for the SHRT-1 project. The report
invites the Panel to comment so that a revised draft funding submission will be available to
submit to the Ministers in mid November 2004.
7. SCOPE OF WORK TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN THE RE EXAMINATION OF THE
PROJECT (Report herewith)
To consider the confidential report of the Director of Environment re examining the
implications of the new Transport Policy on the Project.
8. REVIEW OF PROCUREMENT OPTIONS (Report herewith)
To consider the confidential report of the Director of Environment identifying different
procurement options intended to reduce the funding requirement.
