Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval is given to the design project appraisal for the works at Droxford Junior School, Southampton, at an estimated cost of up to £729,000.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide 22 Basic Need places, a new hall and kitchen, and to remove a temporary building

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities which will benefit all users of the school.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
