Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval be given to the Hampshire Procurement Model and its further development is reported to a future meeting of the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel.

Reason(s)

2.1

To demonstrate that the key Best Value procurement initiatives introduced by the County Council in recent years are in line with the Rethinking Construction agenda.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 2, 3, 5 and 6 of the Corporate Strategy by considering whole life costs, working closely with partners to eliminate waste and to develop more sustainable solutions; by encouraging and developing the use of local resources and contributing to the local economy; by working closely and in collaboration with the industry to enable continuous improvement into our services; and by developing procurement skills and competencies of staff.
