Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval be given to the update to the Strategy for the Built Estate and, in particular the importance of considering how in the medium to longer term liabilities are matched by future resources.

To provide a framework and strategy against which revenue maintenance and capital repairs budgets should be allocated.

This decision supports Aims 1, 2 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing a good quality and well-maintained built estate for the community to enjoy; by ensuring the built estate is well-maintained and provides an environment in which people want to live; and by providing good-quality buildings that enable improve service delivery.
