1. Summary

1.1 The following Decision is sought:

That the £10,000 funding be paid to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for their extra work with Hampshire schools.

2. Reason

2.1 The work of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in Hampshire schools is oversubscribed and further funding is required to support extra work. This work contributes to the Corporate Strategy in that it will maximise young children's experience of music and their life opportunities.

3. Other options considered and rejected

- Not funding the extra work.

- Using the funding for alternative Departmental expenditure.

None.
