Spending Plans for Joint Investment Fund Contribution
Report of the Director of Recreation and Heritage
Contact: Michael Fuller Ext:6016 [email protected]
1. Summary
1.1 The following Decision is sought:
That the £61,500 funding previously agreed to be paid to the Joint Investment Fund for 2004/05 be used as follows:
Contribution to Arts Council England, South East £21,280
Review of Haymarket Theatre management structure £5,000
Contribution to pressures on the Arts budget £35,220
Total £61,500
2. Reason
2.1 The Joint Investment Fund did not start its work during the year 2003/04 and so the funding placed in the Fund was not spent. Extra demands on the Arts Office budget have been identified to the value of the investment previously agreed. The proposals in the Report contribute towards Aim 5 of the Corporate Strategy (Improving Services) by improving the provision of arts across the county.
3. Other options considered and rejected
- Leaving the funding in the Joint Investment Fund for use in subsequent years.
- Using the funding for alternative Departmental expenditure.
4. Conflicts of interest declared by the decision maker or other Executive Member consulted
None.
5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee
Not applicable.
6. Reason(s) for the matter being dealt with if urgent
Not applicable.
