To consider the report of the Chief Officer summarising some of the proposed changes and identifying potential issues and impacts on the service.
6. CHANGES TO MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY ARISING FROM THE REVISION TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (GREY BOOK) 2004 (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Chief Officer identifying the key implications of change to the Grey Book as they relate to grievance, discipline and dispute procedures.
7. MEETING THE EQUALITY STANDARD FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ESLG) - PROGRESS REPORT (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Chief Officer detailing the progress made by the Service on equality and diversity issues, and specifically the plans in place to implement the Equality Standard for Local Government framework.
8. INTEGRATED PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM (IPDS) IMPLEMENTATION - PROGRESS REPORT (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Chief Officer providing an update on progress made to date in implementing the IPDS within HFRS and outlining further key tasks planned to be undertaken in 2005/2006.
9. PART II OF THE DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT (DDA) 1995 AS IT APPLIES TO THE FIRE SERVICE (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Chief Officer setting out the change to employment legislation that took place in October, 2004 and the potential impact on service delivery.
10. RENAMING THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Clerk requesting members views on the suggestion by the Chairman that the Personnel Committee be re-named the Human Resources Committee to more accurately reflect the wide ranging activities of the Human Resources Section that reports into the Committee.
