1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
1.2 That the attached Project Appraisal for the installation of a Puffin crossing on Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh, at an estimated cost of £115,000, be approved.
2. Reason
2.1 This decision supports Aim 4 (Building Strong and Safe Communities) and Aim 5 (Improving Services) of the Corporate Strategy by improving pedestrian safety, particularly those with disabilities.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected
3.1 It is considered that the proposed Puffin crossing is the only suitable option at this time.
