1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the attached Project Appraisal for the implementation of the Safer Routes to School scheme for Bay House School, Gosport, comprising the installation of new and additional cycle storage facilities and the installation of closed circuit television measures at an estimated cost of £80,000, be approved.

2. Reason

2.1 The proposed scheme responds to the concerns expressed by parents, local residents and pupils in the School Travel Plan prepared by the school.

2.2 These proposals provide a significant improvement and will enable children to cycle to school without the fear of their bicycles being stolen or vandalised.

3.1 Taking no action.
