1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the attached Project Appraisal for advance works for the Havant Bus Station, at an estimated cost of £195,000, be approved.

2. Reason

2.1 This decision supports Aim 5 of the Corporate Strategy (Improving services) by allowing continued operation of part of the proposed bus station during the construction phase.

3. Other Options Considered and Rejected

3.1 Undertaking these works as part of the main groundworks construction later next year would adversely affect the scheme programme and bus operations during the construction of the proposed bus station.
