Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for the proposed works at Bursledon CE Infant School, at an estimated cost of up to £877,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide permanent teaching accommodation to allow the removal of temporary buildings.

2.2

This decision supports Aim 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities which will benefit all users of the school.

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
