Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

i)

that approval be given to the disposal of 0.14 hectares (0.35 acres) of residential development land known as the Former Chandlers Ford Infant School Annexe, Kingsway, Chandlers Ford to the preferred purchaser as set out in the report, and the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates Practice) be authorised to settle detailed terms and conditions including such adjustment to the purchase price as may be agreed following minor amendments to the scheme.

Reason

2.1

The property is surplus to County Council requirements, and its disposal is intended to partially fund improvements that have been undertaken to the main Chandlers Ford Infant School building.

2.2

This decision supports the following Aims of the Corporate Strategy

Aim 1 - Maximising life opportunities by funding improvements in educational facilities on the main Chandlers Ford Infant School site

Aim 2 - Stewardship of the environment by requiring a high quality scheme design

Aim 5 - Improving services by providing enhanced accommodation for the Infant School.
