1.1 The following decision is sought:

That a grant of £150 be awarded to Stephanie Maton of Bishopstoke in Eastleigh towards her participation in a six-week conservation project in Guatemala in February this year, subject to her raising the remainder of the money required.

2 Reason(s):

Stephanie (19) has been chosen to participate in a "Global Vision International" conservation project in Guatemala later next month and is seeking a grant from the County Council to go towards the total cost of this trip. The total cost is estimated to be £1,780 and she has so far managed to raise £100 towards her expenses.

During her stay in Guatemala, Stephanie will be replanting and maintaining parts of the jungles in the Peten region.
