1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the conclusions in the Review and the changes proposed be endorsed by the Executive Member.

2. Reason

2.1 To maximise the opportunities for the Museums and Archives Service to operate efficiently and effectively in support of the key Corporate aim of providing high quality accessible services and the aims and objectives of the Recreation and Heritage Department and of its key stakeholders as set out in paragraph 2 of the main report.

3. Other options considered and rejected

3.1 To retain the present structure in its current form.
