Summary

   

1.1

The following decision is sought:

   
 

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for St Lawrence CE (C) Primary School at an estimated cost of up to £684,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

   

2.1

The proposed scheme will replace outdated facilities and provide a new hall, kitchen, associated link building, acoustics upgrade and internal toilet refurbishment works to meet current regulations, and will benefit both pupils and teachers at the school. The proposal supports both Corporate Aims 1 and 5 by maximising life opportunities and improving services.

The need for the facilities provided by this scheme has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
