Summary

The following decisions are sought:

1.1

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the carry- forward of Capital Programme (Modernisation) funding of £71,000, excluding fees, to the 2005-06 Capital Programme.

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for Staunton Park Community School at an estimated cost of up to £543,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

2.1

The proposed scheme to provide a Healthy Living Centre will benefit pupils and teachers at the school, and also the local community. The proposal supports both Corporate Aims 1 and 5 by maximising life opportunities and improving services.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need for the facilities provided by this scheme has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
