1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

1. That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate a single tender for a catering service for the Andover Nursing Home.

2. Reason

This proposal will give security of service and is an integral part of the partnership approach with Health regarding the ENHANCE project.

This proposal supports Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy `Maximising Life Opportunities'. The partnership approach with Health assists with Aim 3 `Achieving Economic Prosperity' and the focus on quality and cost contributes to Aim 5 `Improving Services'.

3. Other Options considered and rejected:

No other options considered viable because of the all-inclusive nature of the service, specific needs of residents, and response requirements.
