1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate a single
tender for the provision of residential services for people with a learning
disability in Fareham.

2. Reason

2.1 This proposal will give security of service to vulnerable adults with a learning disability, who require consistency of support.

2.2 Security of service for residents supports Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy `Maximising Life Opportunities'. The partnership approach with care providers assists with Aim 3 `Achieving Economic Prosperity' and the focus on quality and cost contributes to Aim 5 `Improving Services'.
