Radio fit was good

Workshops staff have always sought to fit items to suit my requests

Radio pack was well located in the boot

*Primary work is of good quality

Workshops personnel did everything possible to resolve problems and fitting is excellent

Every effort to ensure minimal damage

Wishes in respect of location of switches were taken into account

Wiring fit of flashing headlights poor

Several complaints about poor quality of fitments and low quality finish

Quality of equipment appears to be best we can afford rather than the best available

Roof light scratches the roof

Radio is fitted in the boot. Cannot change channels from within the car

Fitment of remote switches/microphones was poor due to use of velcro tape

Speaker fitting loose and fell off

Handset in passenger footwell

Good booking in service and realistic time scale quoted

As they try to conceal as much of the fitment as possible, time taken is reasonable

NEGATIVE COMMENTS

I feel that 4 days to fit a radio/flashing headlights to be excessive

I don't think workshops would last long as a viable commercial business

I don't think work on officers cars are given enough priority

Vehicles seem to spend a lot of time at w/s with no work being done on them

Delays getting booked in due to heavy workload

4 days to fit radio is scandalous.....not cost effective

Would have preferred a quicker turnaround

Lack of co-ordination between various suppliers of kit to be fitted in fds officers cars

SUGGESTIONS

Recommend dropping phone fits and asking officers to make own arrangements from list of registered fitters and reimburse

Service could be improved if a vehicle was made available at workshops for officers use whilst theirs was being worked on

Supply hi viz signs to assist recognition by other road users
