Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage approves the design project appraisal for The Argoed Lywd Mountain Centre scheme at an estimated cost of £336,400, including fees.

Reasons

2.1

To extend the existing dining facilities and provide flexible multi-functional accommodation.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing new accommodation which will improve service delivery and have an immediate benefit for all user's of the new facilities.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need for the facilities provided by this scheme has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
