The Source delivers a high quality service and has earned the trust and respect of other agencies and organisations operating in the area. It also plays a major role in supporting the implementation of multi-agent initiatives for young people.

Havant Youth Sailing Training Scheme is an approved Royal Yachting Association teaching organisation, providing affordable introduction and progression opportunities for young people in the south of Hampshire. The focus is on the gaining of accredited awards and some of the members have become instructors themselves. Alongside the sailing aspect, members are encouraged to complete their Duke Of Edinburgh's Award.

The work of UB40 is well respected in the area and complements the work of the youth service through close working relationships. The issue of the 'hidden homeless' is prevalent in Hart and currently the youth service engages with a high number of local homeless teenagers, without the support of UB40, the needs of these young people would be unmet.

14-25 Winchester Youth Counselling provides the only free, short-term counselling for young people in the Winchester district. It provides a high quality service that is in high demand. The organisation is in its infancy and despite some teething problems has provided a consistent service for vulnerable young people. Their is a co-operation agreement in place between this organisation and the district for the provision of a number of counselling sessions.

The Forest Bus undertakes a considerable amount of work in the New Forest with children, young people and families. It promotes opportunities in hard-to-reach communities where there is a high level of social exclusion. It is well respected by partnership agencies as well as the users.
I recommend a grant of £5,000.

CYO RECOMMENDATION:
The Girls Brigade, Hampshire West (GBHW) offers girls and young women a four-sided programme of activities; spiritual, physical, educational and service. All the activities are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Girls Brigade Hampshire West also run 2 co-educational bands, a mixed youth group and a girls-only majorette troupe. It relies on the support of adult volunteers, currently twenty six officers and twelve volunteers support the organisation.
I recommend a grant of £300.

The Emmaus Projects have been actively meeting the needs of homeless young people for many years. Their structure, strategy and programmes have all been carefully developed over time to meet the changing needs of their client group. The organisation is well organised and very well respected by partner organisations and agencies.
I recommend a grant of £5000 to be used for the Daylight Project.
