PURPOSE: Amount Requested: £4,000

The grant will be used for the purchase of equipment including storage facilities. To assist in

meeting the cost of venue hire and in the purchase of a sessional youth worker. To help

develop curriculum and training opportunities for volunteers, committee and older young

people to help develop a business plan and youth club. To assist in meeting cost of activity

based trips e.g.,. bowling and/or theme park. To assist access to the youth club by those young people living in more rural areas of parish/village.

CYO RECOMMENDATION:

This application is the result of work already completed between Community First (New

Forest), Community Action (Hampshire) and the Community Development Youth Worker

with the young people and adults in Bransgore. This newly established voluntary youth

group has the potential to develop into an effective provider of youth work to young people

in the area. I fully support this application and recommend a grant of £4000.

To take a group of 14-25 yr old young women to Japan on a Quest for Adventure. The trip aims to

develop the young women by broadening their knowledge, experience and skills as well as

developing their insight into another culture. It will also provide an opportunity to develop

links between Girlguiding Hampshire East and Japanese Girl Scouts.

This project offers young people an invaluable opportunity to experience cultural difference

as well as fund-raising. Learning from these experiences will promote inclusion and diversity.

the support of this application to the sum of £1,500.
