1. Summary

1.1. The following decision is sought:

i. That the Executive Member for Education supports the EOTAS service in continuing to work, pro-actively, with schools and other services and agencies in providing effective behaviour management support and guidance in order to reduce the level of permanent exclusion.

2. Reasons

2.1. These decisions supports the following Aim of the Corporate Strategy:

Aim 1: `Maximising life opportunities' through the provision of education for children who are unwell or who have been permanently excluded from school, in order to prepare them for post-school life.

3. Other options considered and rejected - none.

4. Conflicts of interest declared by the decision maker or other Executive Member consulted - none

5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - not applicable.
