Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That, in light of the withdrawal of the Jubilee Fund from negotiations with the County Council, approval be given for the land to be offered for sale on the open market, including the adjoining owner, on terms and conditions to be settled by Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates Practice) and that up to 100% of the net sale proceeds be made available as a contribution to the provision of Early Years facilities in the New Milton area, possibly at the New Milton Youth Centre.

Reasons

2.1

This decision supports the following Aims of the Corporate Strategy

Aim 1 - Maximising life opportunities by generating a capital receipt to be used for improving Early Years facilities in New Milton.

Aim 2 - Stewardship of the Environment by enabling the early removal of the existing dilapidated and redundant building from the site and implementation of a redevelopment scheme of good quality.
