The Management of Legionella - Annual Review

Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

(a) that the improvements in the test results in the residential care homes be endorsed;

(b) that work to improve the quality of the management of legionella in line with the best practices outlined in L8 continues;

(c) that the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services reinforces to Chief Officers the appropriate regulations and best practice to be delivered by local building managers.

Reason(s)

2.1

To ensure that arrangements are in place to manage and control legionella within County Council buildings.

2.2

This decision supports Aim 2 - Stewardship of the Environment - of the Corporate Strategy by managing and controlling legionella in the built estate.
