1. Summary

The following decisions are sought:

(a) That in future grants from the Policy and Resources Executive Member budget be restricted to accessibility issues in relation to the Council's policy with regard to the Disability Discrimination Act.

(b) That having regard to (a) above, requests from those churches listed in paragraph 3 of the main report which qualify on the accessibility criterion be considered at the next appropriate meeting and the remaining requests be declined.

2. Reason(s):

This report was requested by the Executive Member for Policy and Resources at a meeting last year and reviews the position with regard to the provision of grant aid by the County Council to churches.
