Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that approval be given to the project appraisal for the works at the Grayshott CE (C) Primary School at an estimated cost of up to £525,000, excluding fees.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide a single-storey extension and internal alterations, thus facilitating the removal of an existing temporary classroom currently used for teaching.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities for all users of the school.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
