1.1 The following decision is sought:

1 That the work of schools and teachers be commended.

2 That a report based on the 2004 data be sent to all schools.

3 That those schools without a race equality policy be required to submit a copy of one to the LEA by the end of July 2005.

4 That the quality and action plan of schools Race Equality policies be included in the monitoring activity.

This decision supports Aims 1, 4 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by maximising life opportunities, building strong and safe communities, and improving services by promoting this work.
